The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office proudly partners with Frederick County Parks and Recreation each year to offer the Junior Deputy Academy to children of Frederick County. This 4 hour program provides children ages 5 to 11 with a close-up look at Law Enforcement and tools of the trade. Participants will have the opportunity to learn what it is like to be a police officer by participating in hands-on activities, having a chance to see departmental equipment, and watching a K-9 demonstration. Participants will learn about gun safety, illegal drugs, physical fitness, and other important topics.

 

Participants should be prepared to be outdoors the whole time.

Participants will be divided into separate age groups.
