About the FCADC
The Frederick County Adult Detention Center is a full service correctional facility offering all available alternatives to incarceration to include Pre-trial Services, Home Detention, Alternative Sentencing/Community Service and Work Release, as well as traditional incarcerations and imprisonment for offenders either awaiting trial or sentenced to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
The Corrections Bureau is comprised of nearly 200 employees which includes 140 correctional officers, 30 civilian staff, three county maintenance technicians, and 25 positions managed under contractual services. This does not include the more than 50 volunteers who provide valuable services and programs to the incarcerated and community-based offender population.

The Corrections Bureau consists of four divisions of operations; administrative services, community services, inmate services, and security operations. Within each of these divisions there are sections and units.
The Detention Center has different visiting hours and days for males, females, and juveniles.
COMMISSARY & CALLING
Commissary deposits to inmates are easy to make either via mail or online. Inmates also have access to an outgoing-only phone system.
