Armed Robbery Reported at PNC Bank in Urbana

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FREDERICK, Md. (February 4, 2026) – On February 4, 2026, at approximately 12:37 p.m., deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the PNC Bank located at 8920 Fingerboard Road for a reported panic alarm.
Upon arrival, deputies quickly determined that an armed robbery had just occurred inside the bank. The investigation revealed that the suspect entered the bank, implied he was armed with a handgun, and demanded cash before fleeing the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The suspect has not been located at this time.
As deputies continue their investigation, there is an increased law enforcement presence in the Urbana area.
