FCSO Investigates Single Vehicle Collision in Urbana

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE


FREDERICK, Md. (July 16, 2025)– On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at approximately 11:12 p.m., deputies from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) responded to a single-vehicle collision in the area of Shafers Mill Drive and Carriage Hill Drive in Urbana.


The collision involved a 1995 Ford F-150 pickup truck carrying nine occupants — four inside the cab and five unsecured in the truck bed. Two occupants were critically injured in the incident and flown to an area Trauma Center. Both are expected to survive.


The driver was transported to Meritus Medical Center, where a search warrant was executed for the driver's blood to determine if alcohol was a factor.  


At this time, there are no charges filed in this incident.
