FCSO Recovers Four Stolen Vehicles

FREDERICK, Md. (November 25, 2024)– On Thursday, November 21, 2024, The Frederick County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) recovered four stolen vehicles during a proactive patrol. The vehicles, all Honda CR-Vs valued at an estimated $117,510 collectively, were recovered at the Monrovia Park N' Ride located at 11599 Baldwin Road in Monrovia, Md.

At approximately 2:16 PM, Deputy First Class (Dfc.) Bittenmaster, while on routine patrol, identified a suspiciously parked white 2023 Honda CR-V in the corner of the parking lot. Upon further investigation, Dfc. Bittenmaster confirmed the vehicle had been stolen.

Dfc. Bittenmaster then observed three additional vehicles—two blue Honda CR-Vs (2024 and 2025 models) and a black 2024 Honda CR-V—similarly parked and verified as stolen. All vehicles bore Delaware license plates and had been reported stolen from Middletown, Delaware.

The FCSO contacted the New Castle County Police Department in Delaware to notify them of the recovery. All of the vehicles were subsequently towed for safekeeping pending owner retrieval.

“The discovery of the stolen vehicles by Dfc. Bittenmaster was an excellent example of the value of proactive policing and having the initiative to take investigative action when something appears out of place. Dfc. Bittenmaster is a highly motivated member of the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit,” said Sheriff Jenkins.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 301-600-2071.
