FCSO SWAT Team Completes Elite-Level Advanced Training

FREDERICK, Md. (April 1, 2026) –The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) is proud to announce that members of its SWAT Team recently completed advanced tactical training at Osprey Global Solutions Training Facility in Wilmington, North Carolina, further strengthening their capabilities and establishing the team as a top-tier unit.

Eight SWAT operators and the Team Leader participated in this intensive training program, which provided highly realistic, scenario-based exercises designed to enhance both tactical proficiency and decision-making in high-pressure environments.

“The purpose of sending our SWAT team to Osprey Global Solutions was to ensure they receive the highest level of advanced tactical training available,” said Sheriff Jenkins. “It’s critical that our operators are well-trained, tactically sound, and mentally prepared to respond to high-risk warrants, barricade situations, and encounters with armed, violent individuals. This training also helps ensure we are ready for the unknown challenges and critical incidents we may face in the future, so we can continue to protect the public at the highest level.”
