Frederick Man Arrested in Ongoing Firearms and Fugitive Investigation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FREDERICK, Md. (March 30, 2026) –On Thursday, March 26, 2026, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 8200 block of Waterside Court in Frederick as part of an ongoing firearms investigation.
During the search, deputies located and seized two handguns, ammunition, and additional related evidence.
As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested Jaymar Vaqwan Cleotis Bellamy, 24, of Frederick, who is prohibited from possessing firearms. Bellamy was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
Bellamy is charged with the following:
· Regulated Firearm – Illegal Possession (2 counts)
· Possession of Regulated Firearm – Crime of Violence Conviction
· Illegal Possession of Ammunition
Bellamy was also wanted on two active arrest warrants issued by the Baltimore County Police Department for violation of probation.
