Frederick Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

FREDERICK, Md. (February 13, 2026) – The Frederick County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force has arrested a Frederick man following an investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material.
The investigation began after the ICAC Task Force received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding suspected child sexual abuse material on an online platform. Through investigative efforts, detectives were able to link the account to Reyvon Macharia, 19, of Frederick.
On February 12, 2026, members of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office and the ICAC Task Force executed a search warrant at Macharia’s residence in the 6900 block of Clover Hill Drive in Frederick. Numerous electronic devices were seized as evidence as part of the ongoing investigation.
Macharia was arrested at the scene and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. He has been charged with eight counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
