Frederick Stabbing Arrest
FREDERICK, Md. (September 16, 2024) –On Sunday, September 15, 2024, The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) arrested a 16-year-old male in the stabbing of another 16-year-old male that happened in the area of Linton at Ballenger neighborhood on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
On Saturday, August 10th, at approximately 11:30 PM, Deputies were called to a local hospital for a stabbing victim. Upon arrival, deputies learned that the stabbing happened earlier in the Ballenger neighborhood. The victim was then transported to an area trauma center in stable condition. A preliminary investigation revealed the victim was in the area to fight the suspect and then was attacked and stabbed multiple times in the back.
The victim has since been released from the hospital and is recovering.
The suspect is charged as an adult and is being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. He is charged with 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault, and carrying a weapon with intent to injure.
FCSO deputies are continuing to investigate this stabbing incident.
