Frederick Woman Arrested on Multiple Child Sexual Abuse and Pornography Charges

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FREDERICK, Md. (August 14, 2025)—On August 14, 2025, Detectives with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 6900 block of Trout Lane in Frederick, related to an ongoing investigation of sexual abuse of a minor.
During the search, detectives arrested Rebecca Wightman, 52, of Frederick. She was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center (FCADC) where she was served with an arrest warrant charging her with:
· Sex Abuse of a Minor
· 3rd Degree Sex Offense
· Possession of Child Pornography
· Child Pornography – Film in Sex Act
· Child Pornography – Permit Sex Subject
As part of the investigation, numerous electronic devices were seized from the residence as evidence.
