Man Arrested in Frederick Child Exploitation Investigation

FREDERICK, Md. (January 27, 2026) —The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) has arrested 44-year-old Wallys Martinez, of Frederick, following an investigation into child sexual abuse material on social media.
The investigation began after FCSO ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force detectives received multiple cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding sexual abuse material discovered on a social media platform. Detectives were able to link the account and associated content to Martinez.
On January 22, 2026, FCSO ICAC detectives executed a search warrant at Martinez’s residence in the 8500 block of Raptor Ridge Lane in Frederick. Numerous electronic devices were seized as evidence as part of the ongoing investigation.
Martinez was located and arrested in the 100 block of Thomas Johnson Drive and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center (FCADC).
He is charged with the following:
· 4 counts of Possession of Child Pornography
· 1 count of Child Pornography Promote/Distribute
