South Carolina Man Arrested in Frederick for Firearms and Drug Offenses

FREDERICK, Md. (December 22, 2025) – On Saturday, December 20, 2025, at approximately 8:10 p.m., the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office arrested a South Carolina man following a traffic stop in the area of Route 15 northbound near Lohr Road.

During the stop, the driver was identified as Edward Alan Graf, 42, of Little River, South Carolina. Further investigation revealed Graf was driving without a valid license and was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Graf was taken into custody, and deputies located drug paraphernalia on his person. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the recovery of approximately 1.1 grams of suspected methamphetamine and additional drug paraphernalia. Deputies also located four handguns and an AR-15–style rifle inside the car.

Due to a prior felony conviction, Graf is prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition.

Graf was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and is charged with the following:

·         Assault weapon possession/sale

·         Loaded handgun on person

·         Handgun on person

·         Loaded handgun in vehicle

·         Handgun in vehicle

·         Illegal possession of ammunition

·         Rifle/shotgun possession by disqualified person

·         Regulated firearm – illegal possession

·         CDS: possession (not cannabis)

·         CDS: possession of paraphernalia (three counts)
