Suspect Arrested During Attempted Commercial Burglary

FREDERICK, Md. (October 7, 2025) – On Monday, September 29, 2025, at approximately 2:34 a.m., deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) arrested Jordan Leondre Hailey, 34, of Frederick, MD, after he attempted to burglarize a commercial construction site located in the 10,000 block of Old National Pike in New Market.
While on routine patrol, deputies observed Hailey actively attempting to break into the site. When deputies approached, Hailey fled on foot but was quickly apprehended without incident. Hailey was found in possession of burglary tools and an active two-way radio that appeared to be in use at the time. Deputies conducted a search of the area for any additional suspects, but none were located.
Further investigation revealed the suspect had numerous outstanding warrants for arrest, including several felony charges related to previous crimes. All warrants were served following the arrest.
Hailey was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center (FCADC), and is charged with the following:
· Burglary – Second Degree (felony)
· Burglary – Fourth Degree (misdemeanor)
