Suspect Arrested Following Stabbing on Bank Court in Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. (August 21, 2026) – On August 20, 2026, at approximately 3:11 p.m., deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported stabbing in a parking lot in the 7200 block of Bank Court in Frederick.
Deputies arrived and located an adult male suffering from multiple stab wounds to his arm, chest, and abdomen. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and suspect worked together. A verbal argument between them escalated into a physical altercation in the parking lot, during which the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Detectives identified the suspect as 17-year-old Darwin Orlando Martinez-Serrano, of Hyattsville, MD. He was located and arrested later that evening in Hyattsville, Maryland.
Martinez-Serrano was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged as an adult with:
• First-Degree Assault
• Second-Degree Assault
• Reckless Endangerment
