Traffic Stops in Ballenger Creek Area Result in Multiple Firearms Seized, Four Arrested

FREDERICK, Md. (March 5, 2026) – On March 1, 2026, at approximately 3:25 a.m., deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office conducted two separate traffic stops in the area of Ballenger Creek Pike and Ballenger Center Drive in Frederick.


During the first traffic stop, deputies identified a passenger as Keymoni Javon Disney. During the course of the traffic stop, deputies recovered a loaded handgun from Keymoni’s waistband. The handgun had an extended magazine and was also equipped with a fully automatic conversion device, making it capable of firing as a machine gun. A subsequent search revealed that Keymoni was in possession of approximately 291 grams of cannabis and approximately $1,200 USD.


During the second traffic stop, deputies identified a passenger as Demarion Lazivior Scott. Demarion became uncooperative and was removed from the vehicle. Deputies immediately observed a loaded handgun with an extended magazine that had been concealed underneath Demarion’s leg. A subsequent search revealed that another passenger, James Damaurie Monkister, was in possession of an additional loaded handgun with an extended magazine. An additional passenger, Myanna Evans, was taken into custody for an out-of-state felony warrant from West Virginia. Deputies additionally recovered a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, a quantity of cannabis, a digital scale, and approximately $1,500 USD. Assisting officers from the Frederick Police Department provided support during the incident.


Suspects Arrested:

·         Keymoni Javon Disney, 18, of Windsor Mill, MD 

Charges: Firearms-related offenses; Possession with Intent to Distribute

·         Demarion Lazivior Scott, 17, of Frederick, MD (charged as an adult)

Charges: Firearms-related offenses; Possession with Intent to Distribute

·         James Damaurie Monkister, 22, of Frederick, MD

Charges: Firearms-related offenses; Possession with Intent to Distribute

·         Myanna Amor Evans, 19, of Frederick, MD

Charges: Arrested on an active felony warrant out of West Virginia


All four individuals were transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center central booking.
