Two Arrested Following Armed Robbery Investigation in Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. (January 7, 2026) –Detectives with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) have arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in September 2025.


On September 27, 2025, deputies responded to the 5500 block of Foxhall Court for a reported armed robbery. During the investigation, deputies learned that a handgun was used in the robbery and that a victim was struck in the face with the handgun. Through various investigative means, FCSO detectives identified two suspects and obtained arrest warrants.


On January 6, 2026, FCSO detectives, with assistance from the United States Marshals Office Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) and the Frederick Police Department, served the arrest warrants. Albert Osmany Cambara and Gerardo Isaac Cervantes, both 17-year-old males from Frederick, were taken into custody and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.


Following the arrests, detectives executed search warrants at the suspects’ residences in the 100 block of Wild Fig Court and the 300 block of Manor Court. During the search of Cervantes’ residence, detectives recovered a Glock handgun loaded with an extended magazine.


Both suspects were charged as adults via arrest warrants as follows:


  • Armed Robbery

  • Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery

  • First-Degree Assault (two counts)

  • Second-Degree Assault (two counts)

  • Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony/Crime of Violence


As a result of evidence recovered during the search warrant, Cervantes was additionally charged as an adult with:


  • Illegal Possession of a Regulated Firearm
