FREDERICK, Md. (November 10, 2025) –On Sunday, November 9, 2025, at approximately 8:13 p.m., deputies responded to a report of two suspicious individuals on a property in the 7000 block of Ridge Road in Frederick.
When deputies arrived, they found two masked individuals hiding near the front door of the home. Both were dressed in dark clothing and wearing gloves and face coverings. As deputies approached, the individuals immediately fled on foot into a wooded area behind the residence.
Deputies immediately began searching the area. During the search, a nearby resident reported that the individuals ran through his yard, causing property damage. Additional deputies, drone support, and Trooper 3 assisted in the area search.
One suspect was located shortly afterward, and the second was also taken into custody with help from nearby residents and aerial support.
The suspects were identified as Damien Tubois Gentry, 26, and Gerald Antoine Cooper, 34, both of Baltimore. Neither had a lawful reason to be on the property, and both fled from deputies. Cooper also attempted to provide a false identity.
"This was a strong response and an effective follow-up by our deputies in apprehending the individuals involved," said Sheriff Chuck Jenkins. "Our deputies quickly recognized that a potential burglary was unfolding. There’s also a clear message for anyone coming into Frederick County with the intent to commit a crime: it likely won’t end well—just as it didn’t for these individuals."
